Picture above: Something which my awesome neighbour drew on my window during Study Week. I couldn't bear to clean this up on Moving Day last Friday...but I had to, coz they had room inspections. Oh well...at least I took quite a number of pictures of it...

Anyway I'm back in Singapore! It feels really, really good to be home after 4 months! And it feels awesome to be able to play on Sojin (my piano) again!

Hmmmmm, since I just reached Singapore yesterday, I don't have many pictures to share (for now!), but the magic mushroom bloom in college seemed to get bigger...and bigger...I've got heaps of pictures of the red mushrooms - I reckon it's pretty rare to see 'em around. We're pretty lucky this time round - thanks to the rain which encouraged these awesome mushrooms to grow! Sadly they shrivelled up before I left for home...but oh well, hopefully there'll be more...

The pictures below aren't in chronological order though:

Overhead shots of the mushrooms - they seem to be growing in a ring...but when I looked closer, they were just growing pretty randomly around the tree.

Close up of 2 of the "fresher" mushrooms. The individual one right at the back is the very first one we saw - it has now been reduced to this brown, shrivelled-up mushroom...

This was another massive one we spotted - it was even bigger than the first one we saw! It was just so impressive...but unfortunately it got uprooted by strong winds! We were terribly upset.

One of the smaller mushrooms popping up from the ground...

And the smaller mushrooms have since grown this big...

This is the massive mushroom I mentioned earlier - the one that got uprooted by strong winds. It was growing really healthily and happily...and was the most impressive and awesome one...

The mushrooms nearer to the library...

Yet another shot of the massive one, with smaller ones growing around it.

More pictures of the smaller mushrooms...

And...last but not least...because I was pretty bored, I plopped one of my own mushrooms in front of my computer screen! :) And snapped away...

And that's about all the mycology I captured before I left! :D Thanks for viewing and do stay tuned for the next post!

Remember the massive red mushroom I mentioned a few days ago? It's shrivelled up and dead now, but its spores have dispersed all over the same tree, and we now see lots of red mushrooms sprouting out around it, plus some smaller ones around another tree. Not as massive as the Great Mushroom Bloom last December though, but still, it's interesting...

I'll post pictures of them pretty soon. Right now I shouldn't be focussing on mycology...I should be focussing on zoology instead! :P

This little puppy really reminds me of Robbie - fluffy, adorable, extrovert, and a little vain. I really can't wait to see Robbie again...and take even more pictures of him of course. Hopefully I'll get to see him really really soon...

Anyway...1 MORE WEEK! 1 more week till exams are over!!!! I really can't wait to finish my zoology exam and enjoy my holidays properly! Right now I've 7 days to study my entire zoology syllabus. I've always wished that zoology exams could be pushed back to 18th June or something - then I'll be able to have longer holidays...and I would probably finish around the same time as most people in college. Now I'm one of the last few left. Stuck here studying when others are happily enjoying their holidays. Oh well..........zoology is a pretty interesting subject though...

Anyway we went for the Titanic Exhibition in Melbourne Museum yesterday. The entire exhibition re-enacted the interior design of the ship according to photographs, and had lots of artefacts from people who have perished, as well as people who survived the sinking. They even had this massive block of ice in one of the stations - a makeshift iceberg". And of course, they had lots of cool stuff in the souvenir shop. The accounts of those who survived - absolutely spine-chilling.......

And, next to the museum: The Royal Exhibition Building. We've a love-hate relationship with this place. We love it coz of its design and beautiful murals, but hate it coz it's the place where most of us have our (dreaded) exams!

And some pictures taken to relieve stress...

Oh, and of course - my "Psychology Wall" in my sketchbook. I think I dedicated around 6 to 8 pages of my sketchbook, just to test myself on psychology...

Oh yes, on a side note, the massive red mushroom I posted in the previous post has shrivelled up.... :( But there're new ones growing near it...it's PICTURE TIME!!!

Thanks heaps for viewing and stay tuned! :D

Above: Some stuff I did out of boredom, during study week:

In just 13 days I'll be flying back to Singapore for holidays. I'm definitely looking forward to Singapore - seeing Sojin (my piano), enjoying the tropical weather etc. And I really envy those who've finished exams already - in fact some of them are back in Singapore now!!! Oh well, my turn will come...eventually...

Anyway back to today's topic. About 2 days ago, one of my neighbours spotted this massive, bright-red mushroom growing outside the library, and told me about it. The moment I looked out of the window, I spotted it - it was just so distinct and stood out like that:

So, me being me - took out Helios the dSLR and rushed downstairs for a better view, and for a short photography session of this awesome mushroom.

Close up of the mushroom's cap - for some reason I have this liking towards mushrooms, especially bright-coloured, spotted ones... :P But no, I'll never touch it unless I know it's not poisonous. And this one here seems to say "Hands off!!!!"

Another shot of the mushroom from a different angle. Taking pictures of the mushroom wasn't easy coz it was pretty low and I had to crouch down just to take it.

This picture's one of my favourite shots - the mushroom in its full glory (quoted by last year's chemistry lecturer of course), happily growing in the courtyard.

Oh ya, and not to mention, I'm 75% done with exams! I had a piano exam (technical exam) today and it went pretty well!! And I'm on a piano-induced high!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that's about all for now. Gosh I really can't wait to get my telephoto, macro and wide-angle lens (hopefully) for Helios the dSLR!!! I've a 18-55mm lens at the moment (which came for free of course), but I'd really like to own a macro, telephoto, fisheye, wide-angle etc etc etc.....Guess I'll see how much I can get when I get back to Singapore!

Thanks lots for viewing and do stay tuned for the next post!

Gosh, I've not visited this space for quite a fair bit of time!!! I'm pretty much 50% done with exams, though there's 1 more written exam to go. In 4 days' time, I'll be sitting for my 3rd exam - piano (technical) exam, which involves a Bach prelude and fugue and lots of scales. And it's the first time I'll be memorising my repertoire, which I didn't get to do last year.

Both psychology subjects went pretty ok, though I think I'm going to become psychotic.

Anyway, on a lighter note, here are some pictures that I was supposed to post ages ago. These were taken on 12 May (during our college ball). Food was great, venue was great, and we had lots and lots of fun! I reckon this was one of the last few major events we had before the (dreaded) exams. Although it was really cold that night...

Oh yes, and there was a 3-course meal, though many of us weren't really aware of the 3rd course (cupcakes):
1. Knocchi (a type of pasta) with tomato sauce as starters
2. Risotto with chicken or steak as the main course (each person had different main courses)
3. Cupcakes for dessert!!

Oh, and not to mention, they had awesome buns too!! :)

Oh ya, I had quite a fair bit of drinks too, and this is a shot of the base of the glass I was drinking from...under the influence of the blue lights...

I guess that's about all for now...will post more stuff in the future!! Do stay tuned! :)

Freud...Piaget...Bronfenbrenner...Erikson...Skinner...Watson...Bandura...Kohlberg...Baumrind.....

Gosh, so many interesting people to read up on!! :P

Ah well, time to delve into more developmental psychology for the rest of today and tomorrow, as well as for the rest of next week, and then biological psychology for the rest of this week and next week. LET'S GET PSYCHO-ED!! :D :D
