USA 2010 (2)

And now we're here, at Fisherman's Wharf!

We took the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), aka the subway train, down to the main city area, where we took the cable car down to Fisherman's Wharf. It was raining on and off, and the cable car had to go up and down hills...

We went around the wharf but didn't really buy tickets to go into museums. There was an antique museum which had free entry though, so we went in to visit.

Some of the exhibits in the museum:
1. A display simulating an execution in Victorian times
2. Tarot card reading
3. A mechanical player piano, restored such that it plays popular tunes when money is put into it

And of course, a distortion mirror...

The main sign of Fisherman's Wharf, just outside the museum...

And of course, the inside of the player piano I took earlier...

Fisherman's Wharf from a higher point...

We then headed to one of the most popular places in San Francisco - a road which is deliberately made crooked by flower beds. I don't remember the name of the road though.

View from the top of the road:

And the windy road itself, with houses on each side:

And then we headed to Stanford University.

View of part of the campus, from the entrance:

One of the corridors. I love the architecture of the university.

The church within the university. It's gorgeous - both inside and outside. I took quite a number of pictures of the interior.

Just outside the church...

An exterior view of the church...

And we wandered around the campus for a bit as well...

Stanford University has really gorgeous architecture and it's really large too. It's out of the city though, but I really like it there.

The next day, we woke up at the most ungodly hour of 3am, to catch a plane to Orlando, Florida.

Pictures from the plane:

Anyway, our next destination would be Orlando, Florida - where Disneyland and Universal Studios are!

Do stay tuned!
