USA 2010 (7)

We're still in Orlando, Florida - and we decided to take a trolley ride down International Drive, one of the most famous roads in Orlando.

And here's the trolley - it resembles a green bus but it's really cute and smiley:

We first went to some factory outlets before taking a joyride around International Drive. There were 40 stops altogether, and we passed by attractions such as Seaworld, Ripley's Believe it or Not Odditorium (get it?) and Wonderworks Museum.

We didn't get off at Seaworld, and went straight to Wonderworks Museum instead.

Everything inside the foyer of Wonderworks, including the Christmas tree, was UPSIDE DOWN!

Oh, and did I mention, the building itself was upside down! It looked as if some random cyclone tore it from the ground, flung it into the air and caused it to land upside down. Amazing facade!

Unfortunately the tickets for Wonderworks was rather pricy, so we decided to give it a miss, and we headed towards Ripley's Odditorium.

Here's the Odditorium from the trolley stop:

And a front view of it. It looks as if it has fallen into a sinkhole. The building even had a fountain beside it, which depicted the sinkhole.

Well, Odditorium tickets didn't seem as expensive - believe it or not, so we decided to go in.

Some of the exhibitions nearer to the entrance of the Odditorium.

An Elvis-inspired painting - with lots of Elvis stuff on it of course!

Some of the unusual stuff tribes around the world do - such as massive nose piercings,

and skull masks. There was even a tribe from Uruguay (or somewhere else in South America) that specially shrunk their enemies' heads to the size of a fist after decapitating them! We actually saw one of these mini-heads on display - believe it or not!

Furry trout - pretty interesting! They had other unusual animals, such as a pseudo-mermaid, and other stuff that people like P.T.Barnum (a famous circus guru) exhibited.

And of course, there were exhibits of unusual people, such as this tiny guy here:

And amongst the other mini stuff, there was a mini-camera:

Mini mortar and pestle:

And other stuff like mini-violins, mini-Bibles etc.

And amongst the Medieval stuff - a Medieval helmet:

Vlad Tepes, the supposed Dracula,

And amongst the torture devices - the Iron Maiden. We stepped on the footbridge leading to the Iron Maiden and felt it creak! And we freaked out!!!

Prehistoric exhibitions...

More unusual tribal and out-of-the-world stuff with wax figures...

And of course, the exit! We had to walk through this bridge while lights spun all around us, making us feel as if we were toppling head over heels while crossing the bridge. Of course, there was an alternative exit which I discovered, but I just had to take a picture of this one, despite my dizziness...

And that concludes our one-day trolley ride! Our next destination would be Islands of Adventure, one of the theme parks under Universal Studios. Do stay tuned!
