Our last destination for this trip: Los Angeles.
Because of all the complications and the massive crowd in the airport, we nearly missed the plane, but luckily we got to Los Angeles on time.
In Florida, we experienced a cold snap - and that was apparently the coldest it ever got - in 20 years! Now that we were in Los Angeles, we experienced lots and lots of rain - and this was apparently the wettest ever - also in 20 years! Because it rained so much, we were unable to travel around as much, so we just headed to Star Boulevard.
And there's the famous Hollywood sign from where we stood!
Plus the office building of a very famous record company.
Unfortunately, because of the rain, we were restricted to Star Boulevard. We couldn't go up Beverley Hills, or go to other places. So we attempted to spot certain celebrities' names.....
This is the start of the boulevard:
And a number of celebrities we found. I'm so glad Broadway star Fanny Brice got a star for herself! We also spotted Vivien Leigh (Gone with the Wind, 1939) and other late celebrities, as well as celebrities who contributed massively to Hollywood and the entertainment industry.
Unfortunately we didn't manage to spot Ozzy Osbourne - the celebrity my brother was trying to look for. And to make matters worse, the rain was getting heavier, so we had to head to the subway station.
And guess what? The subway station had cool machineries like this!
And the entire ceiling was decorated with bright blue film reels - pretty awesome!
It was still raining the next day, so we took yet another trip to the CBD, where we took the Angel's Flight cable car up and down:
And did mostly shopping after that.
We left in the afternoon the next day, and although we didn't get a good glimpse of Los Angeles, we drove past many well-known places, and at least went to 2 tourist attractions.
That concludes the USA 2010 series! Thanks so much for viewing!
