Here's the second part of the Art Adrift closeups, and the final post for the Art Adrift series. Like the previous post, I'm gonna keep captions short and simple, and focus more on the pics instead.
First up - artwork made with childrens' Crocs sandals and slippers...this was so adorable!!
Many different coloured bands tied together...plus a figurine that appeared to look like a newly married couple. This was pretty cool, actually!
Check out the star in the middle! And the colour theme's gorgeous too - with mainly greens, blues and whites - reminiscent of the sea.
Zoomed in on the intricate patterns...and also because of the many different colours seen here!
Another of my favourite sculptures - because it's got lots of orange and pink...plus some other pastel colours. I'm a huge fan of pastels.
Blues and reds actually go well together!
Check out the number of different coloured thongs used to make this sculpture here!
This sculpture was floating quite quickly with the waves, so I had to take pics of it quickly before it went out of focus! My telephoto lens (the main lens I used for all these pics) didn't have autofocus, so all these pics were manually focused. Been doing so since 2010 anyway!
Simple but creative sculpture with mostly blues...I like it anyway!
Rainbow-themed sculpture...this one was pretty symmetrical!
Colour blocking at its best...and more orange! Yay!
Purple themed sculpture! I liked this one so much...so more closeups of it, as it looked so unique from every angle!
This blue-and-yellow themed sculpture deserved lots of pics too - check out the details on it! I literally zoomed in on all the components it had!
These two sculptures (abovementioned) were floating really close together, so when I zoomed out, both ended up in my viewfinder anyway.
Colours...colours...colours! A riot of colours on this sculpture here. Zoom in and you can see how wonderful the colour combination is!
This sculpture was bigger and consisted mainly of blues, greens and whites - really reminded me of Santorini...and the ocean.
Some of the simpler...but equally amazing..sculptures along the way. My favourite is the second one - awesome colour combination...and there's an orange ring on it! Yay for orange!
Rubber duckie!! On top of a floating sculpture! This was one of the smaller sculptures and was floating near the Dufyken replica. Took me a while to photograph this as I wanted to have pics of the rubber duckie. Succeeded in the end!
The other day when I went to Freo, I noticed that there were lots of people drawing on the road using chalk! So I decided to join in too. I ended up drawing these:
Others were spending lots of time to draw more intricate designs. I was more interested in simplicity...and funny slogans...such as 'chocolate is awesome'.
And that's it for today! I'll be putting up Melbourne pics very soon! Do stay tuned!
